Who’s Who
Ben is a Financial Advisor from Proctorville, OH. Ben has been the lead vocalist of the band since the beginning. His raspy rock voice allows the band to cover a variety 80's and 90's rock and Country. It is obvious this talented front man loves what he does.
Tracy is the pastor of ReGeneration Church in Huntington, WV. Tracy joined the band in summer of 2018. His beautiful high harmonies and silky smooth lead vocals has certainly added a wonderful addition to the band.
A band wouldn't be complete without its lead guitarist. Souls of the Wounded couldn’t have asked for a greater talent than Andrew. With a Masters degree in Jazz guitar from Marshall and Morehead State University. He is the instrumental wizard that keeps the band sharp and tight.
Dr. Terry Shepherd was a professor at Marshall until he recently retired. Terry has been with the band from the beginning and is affectionally known as "Dr. Sticks". A drummer for many years with several different bands, Souls is lucky to have him. He keeps the beat!
Charlie works for the Army Corps. of Engineers. He's been with the band from the beginning and provides the low end. Not only with the bass but the bass harmony vocal. The band wouldn't be the same with out Charlie.
Steve is a CPA in Huntington, WV. He is the band's Auxiliary percussion playing a variety of drums, shakers and other noise makers. You can't miss Steve he's the one in the back dancing, it doesn't take long to realize how much he loves making music.
Andy joined the band in the Spring of 2022. Andy's Keyboard and beautiful vocals has added a great deal to the bands sound. He has been a wonderful addition and a huge asset to the band.
Richard, the lead guitarist of Mad House decided to share his talents with SotW and joined the band in the summer of 2024. Richard is the Owner of M&K Appliances in Proctorville, OH. Richard is a very talented guitarist and has been a very welcome addition to the band.
Mike, a highly talented musician in his own right. Is the lead vocalist and multiple instrumentalist with his band Render the Hearts. Mike shares his talent with SOTW as their sound engineer. You can ask anyone in the band Mike's impact to their sound is second to none.
Meet Souls of the Wounded
Souls of the Wounded started their musical journey with 5 out of the 8 existing members playing in the praise band at New Hope church in Proctorville. Later after the church went away from contemporary music the band continued outside of the church as a Christian rock band and played several years together and started going by the band name "Souls of the Wounded." Their origin may be in the church but the evolution of the band goes back to the inspirations of the music the guys listened to growing up and in college. By listening to a variety of musical genres this played an influential role in shaping their paths as musicians and ultimately led them to begin to play multiple decades worth of Rock n' Roll and their versions of country.
Souls of the Wounded has collectively found their signature sound playing the covers that everyone loves. They offer something different and unique to their performances with screaming guitar solos and beautiful four part harmonies.
